That was never yours to Carry SuperMan” by Kiss Ur Brain

You can’t be Superman forever. Even he took the cape off.

Superman. The man, the myth, the legend.

But here’s the truth: that was never your title.

To be a husband? Yes.

A father? Yes.

A son, gifted and brave? Yes.

But Superman? No, King… you are man.

You saw your mother struggle, and it shaped you.

Set the tone for a role you never auditioned for.

You became the athlete, dreaming of saving the day.

House in the suburbs, keys in her hand—ease, peace.

But saving her was never your assignment.

You had a baby girl. A light in your world.

So you worked harder, longer—diamonds, pearls, gold bracelets.

But giving her the world of things was never your identity.

Then came the title: Superhusband.

You gave her everything she never had.

Protected. Provided. Poured until you were empty.

But the cape wasn’t meant to be worn alone.

Superman is fictional. A character. A mask.

And you, dear man, are real.

The weight on your shoulders isn’t weakness—it’s residue.

Of generations asking you to show up for everyone but yourself.

So today, lay it down.

Not your crown.

Just the cape. 💚💋🤞🏾
