This is Who We Are!

This Is Who We Are”

By Bianca Vanitzan | Kiss Ur Brain Blog

We are not a trend.

We are not a punchline.

We are not the strong friend just because we’ve had to be.

We are Black women—and this is who we are.

We are daughters, mothers, aunties, grandmothers, and greats.

We carry stories in our wombs and wisdom in our walk.

From young queens just finding their voice to seasoned matriarchs who’ve held the world together with a whisper and a prayer—we are legacy in motion.

When we stand together—arm in arm, heart to heart—we break every lie they ever told us about ourselves.

Lies that said we were too loud.

Too angry.

Too complicated.

Too unworthy.

But now, we’re standing fully in who we’ve always been—sacred, soft, powerful, and divine.

We are not just survivors. We are architects of healing.

Our strength is no longer for carrying everyone else’s burdens.

Our love is no longer up for exploitation.

Our beauty is not a commodity—it’s a birthright.

We are teaching our daughters to love their skin before the world tries to shame it.

We are standing in mirrors and saying, “I am enough,” even when the world tries to convince us otherwise.

We are linking arms with our sisters and saying, “You’re not doing this alone.”

From cocoa-rich skin to golden undertones and sun-kissed curls—we are art.

We are earth and sky and everything between.

We are done asking for a seat.

We’ve always been the foundation.

Now we build our own tables, speak our own names, and rise together.

Because this is who we are.

Unapologetically.

Eternally.

Black. Women.
